Jerry Sturgeon

Associate Pastor

Jerry Sturgeon was born on March 20, 1946. He got married to Nancy Lawson Sturgeon on April 12, 1968. He graduated from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. After that, he studied at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas until he was drafted into the United States Navy in 1969. He served in the Navy from 1969 to 1973.

From 1971 to 1973, Jerry co-pastored a Missions Church in Jacksonville, Florida. Following that, he served as a pastor at Teen Challenge Germany in Manheim and Berlin from 1973 to 1976. He then became the pastor at Calvary Assembly of God in East Detroit, Michigan from 1976 to 1981. From 1981 to 1997, he served as the pastor at Mainland Assembly of God in Linwood, New Jersey.

After his time at Mainland Assembly of God, Jerry joined Assemblies of God World Missions in Springfield, Missouri. He served as a missionary pastor at the International Christian Assembly in Kiev, Ukraine from 1998 to 2005. From 2005 to 2012, he was a missionary pastor at the International Christian Assembly in Nalchik, Russia. Then, from 2012 to 2016, he served as a missionary pastor at the International Christian Assembly in Moscow, Russia.

Currently, Jerry Sturgeon is an Assistant Pastor in Newark, Delaware. He has been serving in this position since 2017 and continues to do so.
